We love these guys as they’re always active in the community and have taken a leading role in showcasing other metal bands at their shows!

    One half of the two founding members of Turnpike Troubadours, RC Edwards takes a lead role in band RC & The Ambers.

    RC, Amber, JT, Nicholas, and Lance put together one hell of a toe-tapping, grooving, moving, and schmooving album in “Big Country.” Named after THE Bryant Reeves, “Big Country” is all that and a bag of chips!

    Being a Horton Records artist, Chris Blevins calls Tulsa his home base. His raspy and powerful vocals contribute to his forceful lyrics! The comparisons are plenty and impressive! Steve Earle and Hayes Carll are among a few.

    Recommendations: Once again, Chris and Chloe-Beth’s album, // “Grief, Love & other Gifts” // is absolutely phenomenal! Grab it and listen wherever you can!

    Looking for Red Dirt? Look somewhere else. We’re so pumped for Scott’s version of rowdy Oklahoma jams to visit the PiG this year.

    “Castle Rock” is Scott and Heat’s latest album and brings the thunder! We love everything about it! You can find Jason Scott and his band playing everywhere and anywhere around OKC, Texas, and really all over!

    Recommendations: We have to shout out // “Cleveland County Line” // and // “Quittin’ Time” // Both are absolutely perfect.

    Playing over 200 shows a year, the Queen of Oklahoma is one of the best around! With a deep discography and plenty of great interviews out there (we’re particularly fond of her Play it Loud episode), you can always find something incredible from the one and only Carter Sampson!

    Recommendations: // “Queen of Oklahoma” // is just as wonderful as it sounds! We love // “There’s Always Next Year” // and // “Wilder Side” // too!

    Ready to get groovy? Ready to get dirty and bluesy? You’ve come to the right show. Seth Lee Jones released his latest album “Flahead” to critical acclaim and we gotta say it’s an absolute barn burner.

    Along with Chris Blevins, Seth is on Tulsa label Horton Records. They do amazing things for Tulsa music and you should definitely check them out here! If you’re interested in tight grooves and harmonizing guitar and vocals, Seth Lee Jones is your guy.

    Recommendations: Seth’s version of the city anthem // “Tulsa Time” // is hot-take alert probably our favorite version! Add // “Moving Me Way Too Fast” // to your morning drive and see if you don’t go 95 the whole way there. We warned ya!

    With personal ties to the founders and spirit of Red Dirt itself, there’s no one else we’d rather have repping Stilly.

    At times personable, other times powerfully intimate, and other times raunchy, Tequila Kim manages to strike a perfect balance between the three. Be on the lookout for one of her many shows she’s always playing around the state, keep an ear out for her future podcast endeavors, and buy her a shot next time you're out and about!

    Recommendations: We love her acoustic, sing-along version of // “Hey Ya” //. While she doesn’t have much in the way of released music right now, her live show more than makes up for it! Guess you’ll have to go catch her live.

    The Master of the Mental Mondaze showcase himself will be at PiG Fest 2022! The Make Oklahoma Weirder founder has helped to shed light on countless acts that would otherwise not necessarily receive the attention they deserve.

    Releasing his album “OnlyFish” in the latter half of last year, Jarvix can be found playing it and his other albums from his broad discography around OKC with his looper pedals!

    Recommendations: It’s only right that we shout out // “The Running of the Pigs” // in honor of PiG Fest. We dig // “Happy As a Clam” // and // “You Armored Searobin, You” // ,too!

    A true engima! This is one of two debuts we’ll have at PiG Fest 2022. Formed from the ashes of Stanley Hotel and Magna Contra, Repair Man is a 3-piece tone momma. Watch out, folks. She may bite

    Recommendations: None yet. Although we’d bet there will be more than a few after their performance.

    Aaron Hale is the ultimate heart-on-his-sleeve musical warrior. We couldn’t be prouder and more excited to have someone as powerful and emotionally moving at PiG Fest.

    Catch him at festivals around the nation and make sure to catch his partner’s yoga set while he provides backing ambiance. Then go see him at his set!

    Recommendations: Hale is a proud member of the Cherokee and many of his beautiful songs reflect that. We can’t get enough of // “Waya Adisi (Running Wolf)” // and // “Peace Will Come” //. Both have beautiful messages.

    Beauty, brawn, brains, and DRIVE! We couldn’t agree more. Made up of some absolute monster musicians including Elexa Dawson, Betsey Mae, Jenna Rae, and Patti Steel. Songwriting and storytelling masters!

    Recommendations: Being relatively new, we don’t have much in the way of original music to share. But each of these artists in the group have some absolutely killer tunes they can showcase. Check them each out!
